The good news is a message that is for the foolish. Those who are wise and smart in this age cannot comprehend it. It’s too simple, too easy, and too contrary to the ways of this world. This gospel requires us to “lose our life in order to save it.” But what life are we losing?
We are losing the life that has all the pressure on our shoulders. We are letting go of the life that always has to have all the answers. We are dying to the compulsive way of the world, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life that is desperate for attention from people.
And what new life do we find in exchange? We find a life of resting in the love of our invisible Father who rejoices over us. We find a life free from the need to appear wise and impressive. We find a life of simplicity, content in the humble life of a child of God.
Be foolish today.
You are not of this world.
Everything you need is in Him and He is in you.
Rejoice in the invisible kingdom that is yours.
Your Father is the Father of the foolish.
