The ultimate prophetic word from God and a follow-up on technology regarding the end of smartphones . . .
God’s prophetic word
Here’s a prophetic word for you…
I feel like God is saying….
I’m just getting this picture….
Of Christ and Him crucified….
And I feel like….
You just need to believe that that’s enough.
There are a lot of prophetic words flying around the world today. It’s great to see people tapping into the heart of God and hearing, seeing, and expressing things. But, one could get lost in this sea of words if not careful. That’s why Spring 2017 is a great time to refocus your heart on God’s ultimate prophetic word: Christ and Him crucified.
The author of Hebrews wrote “in the past God has spoken to us through prophets but now God has spoken through His Son:His Son who made the universe and all the galaxies with His words!” There’s a sweet simplicity to the good news: Christ died for you and has set you free from sin, the law, and death. You are righteous, new, and holy through what He did.
In the midst of a very confused world filled with a million different philosophies, political ideologies, and even theologies, the simplicity of Christ is shining brighter than ever. The evil presence of this age seeks to lead us astray from the simplicity of Christ just like it did to deceive Eve. But Christ Himself is keeping it simple for you in this season!
Technology follow-up (the end of smartphones)
If you’ve been tracking with The New Bus the past few weeks, you’d see that we kind of stumbled into an ongoing discussion about technology and heaven. First, we discussed a heavenly and happy perspective on technology (put into the right balance and context) and next week we shared a breaking story about Elon Musk’s new start-up company that may put computer technology right into the brain.
Since then, news outlets have been blowing up regarding the implications of this technology. Business Insider did a story about how smartphones are going to come to an end because eventually all their capabilities will be directly connected to our brains, including Siri like assistants, which are already geared to grow in their capabilities and intelligence.
This is a terrifying prospect for many people, and some might wonder if this is the coming of the 666 end-times chip implants. (May Kirk Cameron save us all).
Be assured…Jesus has amazing plans for technology, even when the enemy hijacks it. Pornography may be a horrible fruit of the internet, but understand that the seed of the Gospel has spread to more places in the world than any other time in history because of it… On that note, did you know that many people wanted to tear up books because the technology of the printing press seemed too dangerous to put knowledge and information into everybody’s hands (so some will resist this technology because it puts it into your brains instead)? The point is, new technology is always scary, but God is the One sovereignly guiding history. The enemy disrupts and corrupts things along the way, but He who sits in the heavens laughs at the enemy’s vain attempts to stop the Kingdom from fully invading this world!
